Wines of Italy Class

Italy, Italy, Italy — what a beautiful country and what diversity of wine. Diversity is both the glory and the bane of Italy. There is too much wine in Italy, too many grapes (with different names, or same name different grapes), and way too many regions.

This Italian wine class covers the meaning of common labeling terms indicating quality or style, the grape varieties connected with various DOC(G)s (so that you can pick a wine in a restaurant or retailer with confidence), & a geographical overview of the Italian Wine “Zones.

This class will focus on the Prestigious regions of Piedmonte, Tuscany, & Veneto. You have an opportunity to taste eight different wines from these major regions.
